Ironically, years after starting 2 Cents the founders learned more about our history. Having grandfathers who served in abroad the U.S. Military and the women who held it down at home, is a part of our legacy.

A woman born in 1928 whose brilliance led her to become her high school's valedictorian, whose hands helped the war effort by sewing ammunition bags at the Indiana Army Ammunition Plant during World War II, and whose heart raised three girls with unconditional love.
Naomi Jones
A man born in 1925 whose courage carried him across foreign battlefields as he delivered critical supplies while serving in the U.S. Army’s 399th Quartermaster Truck Company during World War II, whose steady hands kept America moving as a truck driver when he returned stateside, and whose legacy lives on through the three girls he raised with quiet strength and steadfast character.
Wallace Jones

A man born in 1926 whose steady hands nourished sailors as a cook in the U.S. Navy during World War II, whose dedication carried into a lifelong career with the U.S. government, and whose greatest legacy was raising three children with strength and integrity.
Sylvester Mack
A woman born in 1929 whose life was marked by service, from her work at the Naval Ordnance Plant to her lifelong sisterhood in Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., and whose greatest legacy lives on in the three children she raised with grace and resilience.
